Engineering Physics Lab (BSC-212)
Program: B.Tech Civil Engineering
Category: Basic Science Course
Semester: 2
Credits: 1
L-T-P: 0- 0- 2
Description
The Engineering Physics Lab offers hands-on experience with experiments that reinforce theoretical concepts from Engineering Physics. Students conduct practical investigations in areas such as optics, electromagnetism, and mechanics, using specialized equipment and techniques. This lab experience enhances problem-solving skills, data analysis, and technical proficiency, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in engineering contexts.

Course Outcomes
  • Apply the concept of magnetic field to understand the working of electric vibrators and Faraday?s laws.
  • Relate the phase variation between current and voltage through inductor, capacitor and resistor in LCR series and parallel circuits.
  • Measure and analyze the working of diodes and transistors in different configurations.
  • Measure and analyze the intensity variation of light due to interference, diffraction and polarization.
  • Examine the basic operation of laser, solar cell and its application i.e Planck?s constant.
